Tuba City Project is now "Change Labs"

When we began planning this initiative in early 2018, we had a sense of our mission and our goals but not what this initiative should be called. “Change Labs” is the brain child of staff at Catapult Design (a nonprofit design firm) and the Grand Canyon Trust (an environmental conservation nonprofit) who partnered up in 2014 to host an entrepreneurship and innovation event on the Navajo Nation. We called that inaugural event “Change Labs” as a signal to our desire for postive change in Native communities as well as our believe in experimentation and collaboration to achieve postive change.

After much thought and deliberation, we decided in December 2018 that “Change Labs” is the appropriate moniker for our work going forward. The new Change Labs embodies shared work space, a business incubator, an artist residency, and annual doing business reports. A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped us arrive at a name and a logo for the new and improved Change Labs!
