This is a three-part series for non-HR professionals designed to provide the basics on predicting your business through hiring and firing.

Part I: Employment laws most often violated |Monday, April 11, 12-1pm

  • In this 60-minute session we’ll cover employment posters, when to classify your team as independent contractor vs. employees, exempt vs. non-exempt employees, and payroll taxes.

Part II: Recruiting employees and contractors |Tuesday, April 12, 12-1pm

  • In this 60-minute session we’ll cover employee recruitment, creating job application and review processes, good interview questions, and how to conduct a background check.

Part III: Onboarding and retaining employees and contractors |Friday, April 15, 12-1pm

  • In this 60-minute session we’ll cover new employee onboarding, payroll platforms, employee discipline procedures, and employee termination.
