Hosted by the Native Arts & Culture Foundation, “The Constellations that Guide us” is a multi-day event for the Native arts field to gather, share, and inspire one another.
As we face uncertainty in the world around us, we look to our Native artistic voices and creative minds to lead, inspire, and ground us. Like constellations, they are guiding lights that foster our deep and sacred connection to the Earth: they remind us of our humanity, the power of dreams, and the beauty of humor. Their contributions, ideas, and solutions around the pressing issues affecting the lives of many Native peoples in their homelands and as global citizens are vital to our future. The Native Arts and Cultures Foundation is honored to host the first biennial national arts gathering September 14-17, 2022 in Portland, Oregon: the traditional homelands of the Multnomah, Wasco, Cowlitz, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Bands of Chinook, Tualatin, Kalapuya, Molalla, and many other tribes who made their homes along the Columbia River.
