Are you passionate about the Colorado River Basin, tribal water rights, universal access to clean drinking water, combining indigenous knowledge and Western science to restore and care for the Colorado River, and the inclusion of more women and women of color leaders to build a holistic, integrated understanding of the river system? Do you feel that efforts to manage the river to date have marginalized or left out your brand of leadership and cultural competencies? Are you ready to co-create a new movement to influence a better outcome for people and the rest of nature leading up to the next looming deadline for the guidelines that will manage the river for future generations?
Here are the topics and complementary activities in our agenda:
• Mentoring and Networking, role of laughter and mutual support
• Wellness, Energy Work, Yoga
• Healing from past harm (sexual harassment, bullying, harassment)
• Colorado River 101: Understanding what is happening and teaching the next generation
• Storytelling practice and skill-building.
Audience: women of all ages, identities, backgrounds, and experience working on water in the Colorado River Basin, including those who work for tribal governments, federal, state, and local governments, and nonprofits.
